A volcanic eruption in Papua New Guinea on Friday sent smoke and ash spewing high over the South Pacific island nation, leading some aircraft to alter their flight paths.

    There’s a couple of volcanos busy right now? Wouldn’t want to fly near one or get too close to gassy fumes, but would like to see one that’s alive. (The ancient cones are pretty cool to visit, too)
