This re-blog sums up my thoughts pretty well, and adds a few news tidbits that I didn’t even know about. I may do my own blog post post at a later date (depending on my medical issues), but this re-blog will do for now.
We are well into the Olympics and things appear to be going ok, dare I say really well. All the forewarning about travel disruptions and congestion in the city has been heeded and people have listened so much that shops are upset now because the number of customers has dropped.
Last week the opening ceremony was a hit with the British public. Internationally I know it was made fun of a bit for being cheesy but I think that is fairly standard. Remember the Canadian opening or was it closing where we had lumberjacks in plaid? I hung my head a bit in shame over that one but I guess it is part of what people think when they think of Canada.
I didn’t end up going to see the men’s or the women’s cycling but I did watch the women’s. I was busy on a street art tour last…
